Restore and Explore July 21, July 28, Aug 4 @ 8:00 am – 12:30 pm. Activities include beach clean ups, invasive plant removal, fox telemetry and other conservation projects. Trailhead Visitor Center
Ackerman Native Plant Nursery July 23, Aug 6 @ 8:00 am – 12:30 pm Join us for a morning of hands-on gardening fun! Activities include seed sowing, up-potting and gardening, with music and light snacks provided to keep the energy going. Trailhead Visitor Center
Catalina Rocks! Guided Geology Excursion Jul. 25 @ 9:30 am – 3:30 pm. Learn about Catalina’s geologic features and formation through this guided excursion into the wildlands. Trailhead Visitor Center – 2nd Floor Gallery
Earth to Sky Botanic Walk Jul. 29 @ 9:30 am – 12:00 pm, Every Wednesday through October. Learn about native and exotic plants with a naturalist-guided walk. Meet at Wrigley Botanic Garden. Free entry to garden
Naturalist 2 Training Jul. 30 @ 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. This 7-hour excursion into the wildlands of Catalina Island expands on the concepts covered in Naturalist 1 Training. Education staff will guide you through a course-work book while exploring the landscape and ecosystem of Catalina. Meet at Trailhead Visitor Center
Guided Botany Excursion Aug. 1 @ 9:30 am – 3:30 pm This guided botany excursion is a chance to explore Catalina’s wildlands alongside Steve Junak, Channel Islands botany expert. Trailhead Visitor Center – 2nd Floor Gallery
